Since 1929, Vandy’s downtown location has been sending the tantalizing aroma of smoked barbecue all over the city. It has been named best barbecue in the state twice, and has received top accolades nationwide.

At the small downtown location, you can get dine-in or take-out chicken and pork barbecue with Brunswick stew and sides.

A full lunch and dinner menu is available at the Statesboro Mall location, which is a larger, family-style restaurant that will also fix up your vittles to go if you wish. Barbecue is still the main attraction, but there is a kids’ menu available as well.

The West Vine Street (downtown) restaurant is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The mall location opens at 9 a.m. and closes down at 8:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday and is open Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
